As much as a large majority of people hate everything to do with Apple products, it’s hard to ignore what they’ve done for the world of tech today. They have completely changed the game with what mobile phones can be used for. No longer were mobile phones just for phone calls and text messages. Never before had the average consumer been able to hold, in their pants pocket, a computer that rivalled the capability of a laptop. Since 2007, Apple has sold more than 30 million iPhones. They also introduced the world to the iMac in 1998. It was the first product of the new Apple era that Steve Jobs envisioned. Up until then, “Apple McIntosh were a minority player compared to big brother Microsoft” (Kerr, 2015).  I think it’s very interesting to note that when these came out, they lacked a floppy disc drive.
